:: Create!
Have you ever felt an urge from within to create, to breathe life in a dead stone or on a blank canvas? Hidden deep within our spirit is an urge, a craving that inspires us to create. A study of the creative history of mankind reveals the spiritual essence lying at the base of all great creations. Sharing His vision on this very urge to create, Osho says “the urge to create anything is the first ray of light in the dark night of your soul. The urge to create is the urge to participate in the work of God.”

:: ''Turn On, Tune In And Drop The Lot"
The art of meditation is the ''Here-Now'' principle. Its flowering is celebration. Zen philosophy says: ''Turn on, tune in and drop the lot''. Turn on means become fully alive in the moment. Tune in means look within and get connected with your Inner Being. And drop the lot means drop all that garbage you collect in your mind. Reality is Here-Now. Be in the Eternal Now and celebrate the purity of your Being — that which is, that what you are in your authenticity.

Above the trading pits of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, in a basement studio on Allstate Corp.'s Northbrook campus and at Bank One's downtown office tower, employees are practicing yoga.
In the middle of his work week at the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank, Web administrator Patrick Maun gets a chance to escape his desk and computer, and loosen up stiff shoulders and legs.
"I played six sports in high school," the 25-year-old Maun said. "I go into the corporate world, and I'm sitting for nine hours. I felt myself getting out of shape."

:: The Practice Of Meditation
When yogis begin a meditation practice, they tend to approach it as separate from their physical practice. But many aspects of yoga, in particular the use of the breath, are central to meditation. Case in point: For the past two years, I have participated in the Buddhism and Yoga conference held at the Kripalu Center in Lenox, Massachusetts. My contribution was to teach anapanasati, a form of vipassana or insight meditation that emphasizes breath awareness much like the practices of asana and pranayama.

:: For The Love Of Meditation
Before long I was sitting hours, days, even weeks at a time. Sure, my knees and back ached, but so what? I couldn't get enough of the stillness. To use a favorite phrase of one of my teachers, Shunryu Suzuki, I was obeying an "innermost request" that drew me inexorably to meditate, and something deep inside seemed to be awakening after years (or lifetimes?) of sleeping. Or you could say I had fallen passionately in love--not with a philosophy or a spiritual practice, but with some mysterious, beneficent presence that filled my meditations on a regular basis. Of course I got lost in thought like everyone else and forgot I had a breath to follow. But the act of meditating held a freshness, an aliveness, and a magic that was extremely nourishing and precious.

:: Tough Beginning?
Breathing deeply and evenly while maintaining a passive expression is not always an easy task for the yoga beginner. Especially when you’re trying to balance on one leg with arms raised above your head, in an attempt to execute the perfect Vrksasana or tree pose. The good thing about yoga, though, is that any trembling unsteadiness or pained expressions can be worked through in the comfort of your own home or in a supportive class. Competitiveness might be a virtue in other disciplines but not in yoga.

"I can't find anything organically wrong with you," the doctor said to Mulla Nasrudin. "As you know, many illnesses come from worry. You probably have some business or social problem that you should talk over with a good psychiatrist. A case very similar to yours came to me only a few weeks ago. The man had a $5,000 note due and could not pay it. Because of his money problem, he had worried himself into a state of nervous exhaustion."

:: Laughter
Laughter is one of the things most repressed by society all over the world, in all the ages. Society, parents, teachers, bosses and commanders has been teaching only seriousness. Laughter is considered dangerous, rebellious and impolite. Seriousness is considered honorable and respectful. Sharing His insight Osho says "Laughter has been repressed so much that even though life all around is hilarious, nobody is laughing. If your laughter is freed from its chains, from its bondage, you will be surprised -- on each step there is something hilarious happening. Life is not serious."
