:: Wonderfully True
"People who love yoga love to be in control," Strickler said, adding, "You can't control the world, but you can control your response."

:: Osho Active Meditations
The beauty of the inner science is that it enables whoever wants to explore and to experiment within, to do so alone. This eliminates dependence on an outer authority, the need to be affiliated with any organization and the obligation to accept a certain ideology. Once you understand the steps, you walk the walk in your own, individual way.
Many meditative techniques require one to sit still and silent. But for most of us accumulated stress in our bodymind makes that difficult. Before we can hope to access our inner powerhouse of consciousness, we need to let go of our tensions. Osho Active Meditations TM have been scientifically designed by Osho over a period of time to enable us to consciously express and experience repressed feelings and emotions, and learn the knack of watching our habitual patterns in a new way.

:: Advertising Yoga - Sad, But True
It's a pity the tyranny of advertising hijacks enjoyable activities and turns them into lifestyle gimmicks. This distorts the public's view of these activities far from the reality. Rather than find out for ourselves, we rely on a 30 second series of pictures and commentry to provide our perception. Should we let what car we drive; what fashion we wear; what life we live be swayed in this way?
Graham, UK
Ms Pretor-Pinney agrees. "There are people who come to yoga to emulate Madonna, to get a body beautiful and become incredibly bendy. That sets up a pressure to have that type of body, a striving to attain.
"But it doesn't bother me why people come to yoga; it just matters that they've found it - and hopefully it will work its changes on them."

:: About The Ever-Inspirational Osho
A conclusion? There are no full stops in the value Osho vision, but a helping hand towards understanding ourselves:
"I would like to say to you: Science is the ultimate value. And there are only two kinds of sciences: one, objective science, that decides about the outside world; and two, subjective science, which up to now has been called religion. But it is better not to call it religion. It is better to call it the science of the inner, and to divide science into a science of the outer, and a science of the inner - objective science and subjective science. But make it one solid whole, and science remains the ultimate value - nothing is higher than that." - Osho

:: I Have Chosen The TRUTH...
People have been asking me, 'Why is the whole world against you?' The world is not against me. I am against the world, because I have chosen truth. And I will say only that which is absolutely my experience. I will not compromise in any way, for any reason whatsoever."

:: Pointers
When I first began studying yoga, I nearly fell out of my seat laughing when I saw a friend's dog doing the yoga pose that I was learning as "Downward-Facing Dog."
It is natural for canines, dog lovers know—that post-nap stretch with the rump high in the air and paws outstretched in what looks like pooch heaven. But it takes awhile for humans to befriend Adho Mukha Svanasana (AW-doh MOO-ka Shvan-AH-sa-na), a pose in which a lot is happening all at once.

:: So Hum: Breath and Mantra Meditation
The following meditation is based upon the mantra "so hum," ("I am that") used within the traditions of Tantra and Vedanta.
Mantra, the chanting of sacred words or sounds., is a central part of yogic meditation. Mantra comes from the combination of two syllables: "man," meaning "to reflect" or "be aware," and "tra," meaning "tool for" or "agent of." A mantra is a tool for reflection and the cultivation of awareness, and is used for both concentration and contemplation on the Source.

:: The Value Of Sleep
Bringing out the essence of right sleep, Osho says "with the murder of sleep all the deep centers of man's life got shaken, disturbed and became uprooted. We have not even noticed that the cause behind all the illnesses, all the disorders that have entered man's life is lack of sleep. The person who cannot sleep rightly cannot live rightly. Sleep is not a waste of time. The eight hours of sleep are not being wasted; rather, because of those eight hours, you are able to stay awake for sixteen hours. Otherwise you would not be able to stay awake all that time. During those eight hours life-energy is accumulated, your life gets revitalized, the centers of your brain and heart calm down and your life functions from your navel center. For those eight hours of sleep you have again become one with nature and with existence -- that is why you become revitalized."
Read on through Osho's own words to enlighten yourself on the value of sleep….

:: Kashmir Sivaism
The Sivaism is strictly speaking the oldest spiritual path still practiced. The archaeological discoveries at Mohenjo Daro and Harappa reveal Sivaism to have an ancient history of thousands of years. Traces of it can be found under different names in all genuine spiritual paths.
This is easy to understand if we think of Siva as the aspect of God that manifests as the Great Initiator or the Great Savior of the beings enchained by ignorance and suffering. We can say that all aspiration and passionate prayers for spiritual growth and liberation is addressed to this aspect of the Divine. In India, this aspect is known as Siva ("The Good and The Kind"). Any manifestation of the Divine liberating Grace comes from Siva. In any process of spiritual breakthrough, whether we are aware of it or not, it is actually the grace of Siva that manifests.

:: Interview Swami Om Prakash Saraswati
Swami Om Prakash Saraswati was the epitome of a disciple. Lovingly known as Swamiji, his commitment and surrender to his master, Osho, was total and absolute. Sent by his master to start a meditation center in Delhi, Swamiji as a true disciple, with love, devotion and dedication became the vehicle of his beloved master in spreading His vision. While he continued to work and promote the vision of Osho, he went deeper into his spiritual journey. While Swamiji blossomed in meditation, his inner growth manifested in his work. This section is dedicated to experiences of sannyasins who have come in direct contact with Swamiji at some point of time and have been inspired by his compassion, dedication and commitment.

:: Book Of The Month - Sufis : The People of the Path
Osho says:
" I am not talking on Sufism, I will be talking Sufism. If you are ready, If you are ready to go into this adventure, then you will attain to a taste of it. It is something that will start happening to your heart. It is something like a bud opening.You will start feeling a certain sensation in the heart- as if something is becoming alert, awake there; as if the heart has been asleep for long, and now, the first glimmer of the morning - and there you will have the taste."

:: "App Deepo Bhava"
Buddha's last message to his disciples was "App Deepo Bhava", meaning "be a light unto yourself". This very message of Buddha functions as a reminder to all the seekers of truth - on the path of enlightenment. It is a timeless message of eternal value for the whole humanity. In fact it is the message of all the Buddhas who have attained to enlightenment. They were also ordinary people like us before their enlightenment. They meditated deeply, transformed themselves and became illumined with their inner light. Thus they became glorious examples for all of us that we too can light our unlit lamps with meditation.

:: The Green Face - By Gustav Meyrink - Book Recomendation Series
The key that will make us masters of our inner nature has been rusty ever since the Flood. The secret is to be awake.To be awake is everything. Man is firmly convinced that he is awake; in reality he is caught in a net of sleep and dreams which he has unconsciously woven himself. The tighter the net, the heavier he sleeps. Those who are trapped in its meshes are the sleepers who walk through life like cattle being led to the slaughterhouse, indifferent and without a thought in their heads. Seen through the meshes, the world appears to the dreamers like a piece of lattice-work: they only see misleading apertures, act accordingly, and are unaware that what they see are simply the debris of an enormous whole. These dreamers are not, as you may perhaps think, dwellers in a world of fantasy and poets. They are the everyday men, the workers, the restless ones, consumed by a mad desire for restelssness. They are like those beetles which laboriously climb all the way up along a pipe, only to plunge down into it again as soon as they have reached the top. They say they are awake, but what they think life is, is really only a dream, every detail of which is fixed in advance and independent of their free will.

:: Maha-Vidya Yoga
The esoteric Tantric Tradition states that:
"The highest form of worship (Param Puja) is not offering flowers, etc., to any image, but it is the grasp of the true nature of the Deity as being the Self. It does not need any definite place or time: it is to be performed wherever and whenever possible"
