:: Osho's Words of Wisdom - Be Realistic, Plan for a Miracle
Osho's unique and fascinating eloquence is put into the service of spirituality. Therefore, profit!
"Then you settle for something that is not worthwhile. You drop all the romance of life and all poetry. Your life will lose all significance and grandeur. It will become very ordinary, very mundane... in fact, profane. It will lose the dimension of the sacred.
The sacred
exists with the romantic, with the poetic. The sacred is adventure. It is risky -- but there is no other way to live. Danger is the only dimension."

:: Healthy Hair with Ayurveda
"Best known as the classic text for yogis, the Bhagavad Gita also dispensed a bit of ancient hair-care wisdom. Long, luxuriant hair reflected a control of the senses, according to its pages, and Lord Krishna bore the name Hrishikesha, or "lord of the senses," and "one with long hair."
Rama Kant Mishra, an Ayurvedic expert who specializes in dermatology, recommends nourishing your locks from the inside out with herbs and foods rich in hair-strengthening nutrients."

:: Yoga Calendar as a Reminder
"Well-known photographer Cylla von Tiedemann, donated her time to take black and white photos depicting yoga instructors in various yoga poses for a calendar they put together.
"The original idea was to have a calendar for our students as a reminder to practise yoga and to inspire them," said Wendy Cole, a lifetime North York resident, who has been teaching yoga for 30 years."

:: Self-Knowledge
"Are you always peaceful? Are you noble? Do you possess self-restraint? Are you endowed with divine virtues? Are you free from ignorance? Do you possess knowledge of the Self? Have you got illumination? Have you realised the immortal pure Self? How do you stand before these questions? If you have not got these things, then, come, sit down and read the lessons given in this book. Therein is the message of Amrita for you all. Even if you practise a little of this, you will go beyond death, sorrow and pain."
Swami Shivananda opens your door for Self-knowledge.

:: Jesus
We all know who He was. Or at least we think so.
" Jesus Christ is love, and as such he is gentle and kind. His voice is a whispering caress. Only those who, in their deepest heart, want what is good and honest and praiseworthy will seek him. Only those who seek him will find him. God is speaking even now. Do you hear his voice...?"
In order to bring our souls closer to His love, we propose you to meditate upon the communion with Jesus, on the 1st of January, 2003, from 17:00 to 18:00 G.M.T. We are sure you will get a good start in the new year!

:: Breathe Deeply
The following days will bring you several special holiday meditations, which will be done in our Yoga school.
You will be informed and are invited to take part.
" Pranayama , the formal practice of controlling the breath, lies at the heart of yoga. It has a mysterious power to soothe and revitalize a tired body, a flagging spirit, or a wild mind. The ancient sages taught that prana, the vital force circulating through us, can be cultivated and channeled through a panoply of breathing exercises. In the process, the mind is calmed, rejuvenated, and uplifted. Pranayama serves as an important bridge between the outward, active practices of yoga--like asana--and the internal, surrendering practices that lead us into deeper states of meditation."

:: Great Masters - Ramana Maharishi
"At the age of 17 he was sitting peacefully in his room when suddenly he was overwhelmed by the terrifying experience of his own death. He then 'contemplated' the divine source of his being, the immortal 'I' as opposed to the temporary and changeable 'Me'."
Meditate with our group of yogis on December, 30th, from 13:00 to 13:45 G.M.T. to get into spiritual subtle communion with the spirit of the great sage Ramana Maharishi.
[ Dec/29/2002 ]
